The Official Archive Manuscript
Not every album deserves to survive.
Some recordings disappear with time. Others become part of the history that created them.
The OSSVARIUM exists to preserve those rare relics whose significance has outlived their release.
What enters the Archive is not merely collected. It is remembered.
The Curator owns nothing. The Curator protects everything.
No relic enters the Archive because of price, rarity or reputation alone.
Each work is judged by its place within the underground, the history it carries and the mark it left behind.
The Curator does not decide what is valuable. Time has already done that.
The Archive is not a collection. It is a record of survival.
Every preserved relic receives its own identity, archive record and certificate of preservation.
Its origin, history and significance are recorded so that what once existed in the underground is not lost to time.
Once preserved within the OSSVARIUM, the relic becomes part of the eternal Archive.
Preservation begins with judgment. Not every relic presented to the Archive is worthy of remembrance.
Its origin is examined. Its history is traced. Its place within the underground is weighed against time.
Those deemed worthy are documented, sealed and granted an identity within the OSSVARIUM.
From that moment forward, the relic no longer belongs only to its past. It belongs to the Archive.
What is preserved must remain true.
No history shall be invented. No provenance shall be altered. No relic shall be granted significance it has not earned.
The Archive records what was, not what we wish had been.
Once a relic is sealed within the OSSVARIUM, its record becomes part of the permanent Archive.
Memory may fade. The record must not.
A relic is more than a recording.
It is the trace of a moment, a scene, a place and a culture that once existed beyond the Archive.
A relic may be rare. It may be forgotten. It may never have been understood.
Its worth is not measured by numbers alone, but by the history carried within it.
When that history survives, the relic survives with it.
Preservation requires proof.
Every relic accepted into the OSSVARIUM receives a certificate bearing its archive identity and record.
The certificate does not create the relic's significance. It confirms that the significance has been examined and preserved.
Once sealed, the record becomes part of the permanent Archive.
The seal may fade. The archive number must remain.
Not every relic is meant to be seen.
Beyond the Archive lies the Vault, where certain records remain sealed from public view.
Some await verification. Some await their time. Others are preserved simply because they must not disappear.
What rests within the Vault is neither forgotten nor abandoned.
It waits.
Not everything can be preserved.
Some recordings vanished before their history could be written. Some names disappeared before anyone thought to remember them.
Their tapes were lost. Their records were destroyed. Their stories survived only in fragments and memory.
The OSSVARIUM cannot restore what time has already taken.
But it shall remember that something was there.
What has been entrusted to the Archive shall not be forgotten.
We shall preserve without invention. We shall record without distortion. We shall remember without possession.
No relic shall be made greater than the history it carries. No history shall be made smaller because the world chose to forget it.
What survives shall be preserved. What is preserved shall be remembered.
This is the oath of the OSSVARIUM.
